You do not need to be an IBD reader to join. Although stocks are not appropriate for all investors, and no investor should be 100% invested in stocks, the purpose of this group is to talk only about stocks. The group is primarily for "do it yourself" stock investors - people who research, analyze and manage their own investments rather than relying on analysts, advisers, or fund managers. The group organizer is an IBD subscriber and fan but is not otherwise affiliated with IBD.
