This month we will focus on recognition of chart patterns (technical analysis). Various types of chart patterns will be defined and expamples of each will be provided. We will look at cup and handle, double bottom, flat base, accending base and other buy signal patterns as well as some classic selling indicators.

A review of what factors strengthen and weaken bases will help to show which patterns are most likely to succeed.

The last part of the meeting will be a group discussion on what attendees see as the best current opportunities in equities are.
