You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Hello, Parkland College / Investor?s Business Daily Meet up Group.
It is past time to think about our meeting coming up at Parkland College on March 26th, 2008 at 5:30 P.M.
Again, I apologize for being so late getting this notice out. I assure you it has been on my mind for some time; however, other commitments precluded me from doing this earlier.
We have several new members who we are excited to have join us; and who have signed up for the upcoming meeting. We welcome you and hope you find it an enjoyable and rewarding experience that is worth your time.
Several new people attended our last meeting. Will Marshall made a great presentation and then headed back to his ranch in Colorado. Thank you so much ?Will.?
Vince Schaub has offered to hold a short session ½ hour to ¾ of an hour on the following
? Portfolio Risk
? Five questions to ask yourself
We also have a new member Wyatt Muse who will give a presentation on how Hedge Funds affect the commodity markets.
In addition to farming, Wyatt is a Merchandiser for Anderson Grain Co. This means that he is well versed in the Commodity Markets. Recently we have seen record gold, corn, wheat, prices; etc. Word was that gold was headed toward $1,500.00 and everyone was going to make zillions of Dollars then yesterday the commodity market took a nose dive and now people are saying that the bubble has burst on that market. Was that perhaps because of Hedge Funds exiting the market? Come out Wednesday night at 5:30 P.M. enjoy some sandwiches, discussion with others till 6:00 P.M. and learn about how Hedge Funds can affect commodities.
Please bring along at least two stocks that you own or are interested in and as time allows we will have a discussion on how they are performing based on your expectations and is now the time to be buying because the market is down. Lets us know what you think.
Also, if time allows: Richard Rayburn will also make a short presentation what he learned at a resent IBD Seminar that he attended in Chicago.
Thank you for your time and patience and hope to see you on March 26th at 5:30 P.M.
